First Lady and Co-Pastor, Kimberly Parkway Church of God
First Lady Dr. Yvonne Watson is often heard expressing her love for the Lord and God’s people. She is the Co-Pastor and First Lady at the Kimberly Parkway Church of God (KPCOG) situated on the east side of Columbus, Ohio where her husband, Pastor Iran E. Watson serves as the Senior Pastor. They both work together in ministry serving the people of God.
After accepting her call to the ministry in the year 2002, Lady Yvonne began moving in her purpose designed by God. She is known for sharing countless messages on believing there is life after disappointment, success despite failure, and messages addressing “second-chances.” She can often be heard expressing her sincere love and reverence to God for a “changed” life. She is known throughout the state of Ohio for her work, dedication, and commitment in corrections education by teaching courses in: business, math, software applications, and finance classes. She is considered an education innovator whose customized teaching approach meets students at their level of need and utilizes teaching methodologies that work best for them.
Lady Yvonne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration and a doctoral degree in Education Leadership. She serves as the Chairperson of the KPCOG Women of the Word Ministry, and co-facilitates instruction for New Members classes.
Lady Yvonne recently launched a non-profit business known as the FOR MY W.I.S.H. Foundation, where she focuses on providing support for at-risk populations of people. She tutors children who are considered academically at-risk in reading and math in grades 1-5, teaches job readiness training classes for unemployed and under-employed individuals, and works with children in middle school and high school who are in jeopardy of no longer being a good fit for school.
Through prayer, careful teaching and guidance by Pastor Iran, she founded the KPCOG “Women’s Council”, “Daughters of Excellence” and “Women of the Word” ministries. Pastor Iran and Lady Yvonne have four adult children and two grandchildren, Cydneigh Chivonne and Chancellor Iran.
